We still paint jewelry
the old way — by hand,
one piece at a time.
For nearly thirty years, every Lauren G Adams piece has begun the same way: color blended by eye, loaded onto a brush, and painted onto the metal by hand — layer over layer until it glows. No two are ever exactly alike. That is the whole point.
Orly Ovadia · Founder & Designer
The Founder
A Montreal girl
who loved color.
Orly Ovadia was born and raised in Montreal, where a love of fashion and artistic design took hold early. She founded Lauren G Adams after studying the craft of jewelry manufacturing in Providence, Rhode Island — convinced that women deserved more color, more character, and more choice than the fashion aisle was offering.
In 1998 she began painting enamel by hand. She has painted every collection since — the daisy, the swirl, the horse bit, the beads — sketchbook to brush to bangle.
— painted by hand since 1998
layered into forever.
Mixed
Enamel & pigment, blended by eye into one-off colors.
Painted
Brushed onto the piece by hand, stroke by stroke.
Set
Each hand-laid layer settles and hardens — no kiln between the artist and the piece.
Yours
Finished on 18k gold- or rhodium-plated brass. No two alike.
The Name
Lauren. Gabrielle. Adam.
Three children. One studio. The names on the box are Orly's own — a family label, kept in the family, painted by their mother for nearly three decades.
The Color Library
Five families.
Hundreds of shades.
Each shade is hand-mixed and named for a feeling — never printed, never repeated twice the same.
